The role
As an Accountant in our Ops Finance Team, you will support core financial operations, including invoice handling, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, payroll, and intercompany accounting. Reporting to team lead, Head of Accounting & Reporting, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to our reporting processes. Success in this role is defined by the ability to deliver on period-end tasks efficiently, collaborate with stakeholders, and continuously seek ways to improve our ways of working.
Key responsibilities
- Invoice handling in Central Invoice Management (CiM): Follow up invoicing process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, including verification and approval. Verifying supporting documents and communicating with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries.
- Accounts payables: Assist in reconciliation process including investigating and resolving any discrepancies. Analyzing AP performance, aging reports, and collection/payment trends, ensuring timely payments and monitoring overdue accounts.
- Bank reconciliations: Assist in the preparation and completion of monthly bank reconciliations. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records, ensuring all bank transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. In addition, support the maintenance of accurate cash flow records.
- Payroll accounting: Assist in regular reconciliations of payroll records with general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy of payroll transactions and adjustments. Reconcile and ensure timely payment of payroll tax liabilities, including payroll-related balance sheet items.
- Intercompany accounting: Assist in monthly reconciliations of intercompany transactions and balances. Identify and resolve discrepancies in intercompany accounts, ensuring all intercompany transactions comply with company policies and accounting standards.
We are looking for the following experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Relevant accounting experience in similar roles
- Strong business acumen and financial understanding
- ERP knowledge (SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud) and mastery of MS Excel and Google Suite
- Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written
