About the role

As we continue to expand our Research & Development (R&D) capabilities at reMarkable, we are looking for an experienced Senior R&D Engineer for Display Technologies. In this role, you will play a critical role in developing groundbreaking technology solutions. Furthermore, you will conduct advanced research, develop innovative solutions, and contribute to the organization’s technological growth and competitive advantage. We want this role to have a real impact on the technology and R&D within the company, and play an important role in shaping the R&D agenda.

Your responsibilities may include

• Conducting advanced research to explore new technologies and methodologies
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept models to demonstrate feasibility
• Provide technical insights and recommendations for technology adoption
• Plan and take lead on R&D projects
• Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and test new products and technologies
• Serve as a subject matter expert on display technologies
• Help the growth of team members around you through coaching and mentoring

We are looking for the following:

• Experience and competency within electrical engineering, preferably display, optical, touch or sensor technologies
• Previously taken lead and participated in R&D projects from planning to completion
• Experience with systems engineering and have the ability to work in the technical details, whilst maintaining an outlook for the “broader picture”
• You have experience being the subject matter expert, or have had a similar role within your domain
• You are experienced being the one responsible for both technical choices and the qualification of technologies

You are someone who enjoys project manager activities, and finds real motivation in driving projects, processes and products, while still working on the technical details.
