As a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll drive mechanical design in new product development, ensuring high-quality and sustainable products. You will collaborate in cross-functional teams, and with external partners and suppliers to bring ideas from concept to production.

Your responsibilities may include:
Take ownership of mechanical design in projects, providing mechanical engineering support across disciplines.
Mechanical design of products, parts, and assemblies from concept to realization, including strength and tolerance analyses.
Ensure high mechanical quality with a strong focus on DfX throughout the design process.
Lead project development, manage stakeholder interactions, and balance cross-functional input.
Improve internal processes and enhance workshops and prototype facilities to drive progress effectively.
We are looking for the following experience:
Higher education in Mechanical Design Engineering or Product Design/Development with an engineering focus.
10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, including 3D CAD modeling, 2D drawing, and digital structural analysis tools.
Expertise in materials and mass production processes, with experience developing high-quality consumer products/electronics.
Experience with PLM systems and supply chain operations, with a holistic understanding of portfolio management and decision-making in production, quality, and cost.
Strong project planning skills, including experience with timelines, mass production, and driving continuous improvement in ways of working.

Language requirements: Professional level English (Verbal & Written).
Location: Oslo, Norway.
Visa requirements: Citizenship/valid work permit from the EU/EEA. (Relocation assistance can be provided).
