Position Overview: The Head Product Manager will own the product vision and category development from inception to launch, acting as a key stakeholder throughout the product development process. The role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our Concept Incubation teams and Product Development teams, ensuring that new ideas are evaluated, prioritized, and executed in line with our long-term strategic ambitions. You will work closely with multiple teams to deliver on the product roadmap, overseeing project execution and ensuring alignment with the broader company goals and original product intentions.

The role reports to the Chief Design Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Holistic Ownership: Take full ownership of the category strategy for potential new products, from inception to launch, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key stakeholder for the Concept Incubation, Product Development and relevant R&D teams, guiding the process from idea to product launch.
• Strategy Execution: Collaborate closely with the Product Strategy team to ensure that all product decisions and plans align with our long-term strategy as well as other category strategies.
• Market Insight: Monitor and understand changes in market dynamics, emerging technologies, and consumer trends to inform product strategy, decisions and ideas.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor Project Product Managers, ensuring that the projects have the necessary capacity and competence throughout the product development cycle.

Requirements:

• Experience in Hardware Development: Proven experience in physical product development with a deep understanding of product development processes.
• Design Background: Strong design thinking mindset with experience in mechanical/industrial design
• Strategy Experience: Experience in transitioning from design to strategy roles or vice versa, with a deep understanding of what drives business plans and product strategies.
• Consumer Electronics Experience: Experience in the electronics industry, particularly in consumer electronics, is highly preferred.
• Technology Curiosity: A strong interest in emerging technologies and market trends, with the ability to integrate these insights into strategy and ideas.
